SW1V – Pimlico – Timber Windows – Royal Ballet School
Situated at the corner of 118-120 Warwick Way and Grade 2 Listed 27 St George’s Drive, the building used to be a hotel, Elizabeth House Hotel, up until 2014 when the application was made to turn the building in student accommodation for the Royal Ballet School.
We had the opportunity to work on this project following window replacement works in the vicinity, for the Airways and Hanover Hotel.
The building underwent several alterations, refurbishment and rear extensions at lower ground, ground and first to third floors. There was also a new mansard roof extension to form a fourth floor. Working on an open site with several other contractors carrying out works, has it’s ups and downs. We had a good collaboration throughout and we have been prompt with the delivery and installation.
Overall the project consisted in over 130 Herritage sash and casement windows Single and Slim Double Glazed, weight loaded and sprung system as well. It extended over a period of 8 months, therefore the order was split over 7 phases. All locks are secured by design accredited and security restricted mechanisms were used throughout the top floors.
